Applying Essential Oils “Neat”

Should essential oils be applied directly to the skin?

As a general rule…no!

Most oils are not safe to be applied directly to the skin.  Instead, they should be blended with a carrier.

Oils that can be safely applied directly to the skin include Lavender, Tee Tree and Ravintsara

Important note:  Dropping essential oils directly into a bath is not a recommended method, as this has the potential to cause irritation to the skin.  Stay tuned for a great do it yourself bath blend!
